Matt Donovan

COO and Co-Founder of Talage

Matt Donovan is the COO for Talage, an insurtech focused on developing digital distribution software solutions for commercial insurance that transforms the quoting process for agents and insurance companies. 

At Talage, Donovan is responsible for all customer acquisition, including direct marketing and business development efforts. Before co-founding Talage, he was the director of business development for cloud communication platform Sinch (Acquired by CLX Communications) where he focused on developing sales, marketing, and product strategy for the company’s North American market and working with partners, including Mail.ru, IMO.IM, PlentyofFish, Nimbuzz, and others.

Prior to Sinch, Donovan was a founding member and director of strategic partnerships for Yub, Inc., the first offline affiliate network. While there he enabled advertisers to run card-linked offers with thousands of online and mobile publishers. At Yub, he was responsible for sourcing prospects, negotiating contracts, and managing partnerships with national restaurant and retail chains, including Gap, Denny’s, Burger King, and others. 

Additionally, Donovan was an early member of the Strategic Partnerships Team for the new American Express digital payment product Serve. He conducted strategic analysis of the digital commerce landscape, identifying key opportunities for new product features for the Serve platform through partnerships. Prior to his time at American Express, Donovan was an advisory associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was responsible for operations and financial modeling for the public utilities industry.

Donovan holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the University of California Los Angeles and an M.B.A. (Strategic Marketing Emphasis) from Cornell University.
